Escape the Fate is a Post-hardcore band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Their sound is comparable to bands like From First to Last and Eighteen Visions. Although many consider their music very cliche hardcore, they have many unique qualities about their music such as complex bass lines, which are very uncommon in hardcore music, very low death metal screming sections and dual guitar harmonies that add to a well equaled balance between strong melodies and intense bursts of energy.

[edit] Background

Appearing amid the emocore scene of the 2000s, the Las Vegas quintet Escape the Fate prided itself, above all else, on an energetic and visceral live show. The band came randomly together through MySpace when Ronnie and Max were looking for new band members after their prior group abruptly fell apart. On the popular website, they soon found guitarist Bryan, who subsequently brought in Vegas transplant and guitarist Omar (ex-Lovehatehero). Friend and drummer Robert joined on to complete the group. Debuting live barely a month later, the guys found early success on local radio and quickly amassed a devoted hometown following. By September 2005, they had won a local radio contest judged by My Chemical Romance, which awarded them the opportunity to open a show on the band's current headlining tour with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect. They then signed to Epitaph Records. Their debut five-song EP, There's No Sympathy for the Dead, appeared in May 2006. Tour dates through the summer followed including several dates on the Warped Tour.

On Smartpunk.com their EP received a rating of 4.98 out of 5 and they were the 4th ranked band on the entire website [1].

Escape the Fate's first full length album Dying Is Your Latest Fashion came out on September 26th.

As of September 12th Lead Singer Ronnie Radke was reported to have left the band. The band had this to say on their myspace "As of today, Ronnie Radke is officially no longer a member of Escape the Fate. We feel that in order for the band to move forward, the only possible way, will have to be without him. The reasons as to why are very personal. Just know that we still love him and we wish him all the best of luck in the future." Although the band wanted to keep their reasons private, it was widely known that Radke had a heroin problem and had put himself in re-hab.

However, on Novemeber the 6th the Band released a new blog on Myspace stating that Ronnie is back.Ronnie also posted a blog on his MySpace explaining his absence and describing his new love for life.

The band will be on the 2007 Epitaph Tour in the Spring , with The Matches , I Am Ghost , and The Higher.
