Esanai

Esanai is an idyllic village 50 miles east of Trichi, India. It is mainly known for its famous Ayyappan temple that is visited by thousands of people from far-flung places across India and abroad. The main economy of the village is in farming sugarcane and rice. The village is one among the poorest in the state, and development is yet to get in full swing in it, though cellphones, Television, Motorbike have become common.

The main way to reach this plac is via Trichi. From Trichi or Lalgudi take a bus towards Tirumanur or Thiruvayaru and get down at Alandur-Mettur. Alternatively you can take a bus to Pullambadi from where you can get local buses going to Alandur Mettur. From here it is a two mile walk

From Chennai take a train to Dalmiapuram or Tiruvaiyaru and then take a taxi to Esanai
