Eric Mathews is the co-founder and a general partner of Mercury Technology Labs. Mercury Technology Labs is a innovation connector and venture creation company operating out of Memphis, TN. Eric was formerly the Associate Director of Corporate Research and Development of the FedEx Institute of Technology. At the Institute, he was responsible for leading economic development as well as growing and supporting technology based research activities. Eric is also the co-founder and former co-director of the Advanced Distributed Learning Workforce Co-Lab. Eric's career has been entrenched in the various stages of technology development, including the founding, directing, and developing of new research centers and consortia. Eric has a B.S. in Chemistry from Rhodes College, and an M.S. in Psychology from the University of Memphis. Eric confers with industry and has been quoted in national and international press outlets on the use and influence of technology in modern society and industry.
