Kamares has a school, a lyceum, a church, banks, a post office, a train station which is located to the west 20 m above the old highway and a square (plateia) in the central part.

It sits on a plain which is connected with west of Aigio. The hills and the mountains lie to the west and hills to the south. Farms lie to the central part and groves to the northern part and the southern part along with mixed farming. The forests that are filled with probably willow trees lie to the east and pine trees to the west and to the northwest with several small mountaintops.

Kamares has campgrounds and beaches which is located to the north and the northeast in Akoli.

The new road runs in the north-central part and through the forests. It was constructed in the mid 20th century when a 100 m overpass was under construction and four curves with a 4 m rail underpass at the third curve. It was opened a few years later with an interchange to the east.

The panorama includes the hills and the mountains to the south and the west along with tall Erymanthos to the WSW and the Panachaiko to the west along with another mountain near Omplos.
