Erinaceidae is a family in the order of the Insectivora. It contains the well-known hedgehogs (subfamily Erinaceinae) of Eurasia and Africa and the Moonrats (subfamily Hylomyinae, Galericinae or Echinosoricinae) of South-east Asia.
