Erika Raum

Erika Raum (born 13 May 1972) is a Canadian violinist.
She received first prize at the 1992 Joseph Szigeti International Violin Competition in Budapest as well as the award for best interpretation of a Mozart concerto.
She has performed as a recitalist and chamber musician throughout Canada and Europe.
She recorded the world premiere of Carl Czerny's piano and violin works with internationally renowned pianist Anton Kuerti on the Musica Viva label of CBC Records.
Raum studied with Lorand Fenyves at the University of Toronto where she was awarded the prestigious Eaton Scholarship. She is also a recipient of The Canada Council for the Arts Career Development Grant.
Raum is a member of the teaching faculties of the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) and the Banff Centre for the Arts.
She also performs with the Amici Ensemble.
