Eric Hielscher

Eric Michael Hielscher, born April 12, 1981, was the bassist of the short-lived local Minnesota band Apathy whose lead singer and guitarist Luke Helder was the Midwestern pipe bomber of May, 2002. Hielscher taught Helder to play guitar and was a close friend of his while they grew up in the small Minnesota town of Pine Island. Material from an interview with Hielscher was included in a Rolling Stone article about Helder.
