[edit] Plot summary
Eric, Donna, & Hyde are hanging out after school when Donna reveals she got an F in English. She then lights a cigarette and starts smoking it. Eric reminds her that it could get her suspended. She asks him to hold it for a minute and he questions why she's smoking and failing classes. A teacher sees the cigarette in Eric's hand and when Donna tries to take responsibility for it Eric puts it up to his mouth and takes a puff making it look like it's his so the teacher suspended him. Donna tells him that he was just stupid because she didn't need his help. She shows her parents her report card looking for some attention but she catches them going to a swingers bar and they tell her that they will talk to her later if they don't meet anyone else. Red is mad at Eric (big surprise) and makes him smoke a full pack of cigarettes for getting suspended. His mom is disappointed and shows him a picture of a cancerous lung. Later while watching Eric do some chores Bob approaches Red saying that after hearing that Eric got suspended for smoking he must be rubbing off on Donna because she's failing classes. Later Donna apologizes to Eric and tells her appreciation of what he did for her and they leave her house when Bob tries to scare Eric off. They go to sit on the car and find Kitty sneaking out trying to light up a cigarette. Laurie takes her cigarette but quickly throws it on the ground when Red shows up. Eric takes his foot and Red sees him smother the cigarette out and asks him if he's smoking again. Donna admits to him that Eric got in trouble only because he was holding her cigarette for her. Red then shoos everyone off and apologies to Eric for not trusting him. Donna tells Eric that she told Bob & Midge it was her cigarette and they grounded her much to her appreciation. Eric warns her that failing classes and smoking is not a good way to get attention from her parents.
Jackie wants to put her stuffed animals in Kelso's van. They agree on only one, but Jackie decides to bring them all in instead. Kelso upsets her when he says he doesn't want her stupid things in his van and she walks out. He drives alongside her and asks her repetitively to get in the van eventually he just gives up and tells her she can keep six after bartering some. Then they switch roles and Jackie tries to get Kelso in the van but she gives up and starts driving off making Kelso chase the van saying it's his van.
Fez's host parents set him up on a blind date with Hyde as his his wingman because there's two girls coming. Hyde convinces Fez that it's American custom for him to get the blonde, Mary, so Fez gets the redhead, Patty. Hyde finds out that Mary is just a goody two shoes and thinks absolutely differently than him and Patty is more rebellious so he convinces Fez to switch him. After hearing that Mary likes all the same bands that he does and that they have a lot in common, Mary tells Hyde she need to go study and leaves him, but Mary takes Fez out to her house where they sit in a hot tub.
