[edit] Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
[edit] Haham hanuka
Hello. Could you please provide some proof of User:Haham hanuka's negative actions? --Merovingian (t) (c) 00:21, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)
- By the way, HH's user page is his to do as he pleases. And, I see that many of his major contributions have to do with pornography and whatnot. --Merovingian (t) (c) 00:25, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)

- Hi Merovingian. His wrongdoings were documented and locked in his Hebrew user page. I guess you can't read Hebrew, but I'm sure that Danny, who is a well respected English wikipedian who reads Hebrew, can verify that. Cheers, Eranb 05:29, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

- I've given Danny a note. --Merovingian (t) (c) 05:39, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)

Can you explain how this search engine fraud works? I don't understand how a list of random words is bad for search engines. --brian0918™ 19:38, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
- Hi Brian. In the Hebrew wiki, he pulled the same trick, that led to his page appearing as sixth or seventh when searching for common words in Hebrew. This is also described (in Hebrew :( ) in both his user page (briefly) and his he user talk page. Cheers, Eranb 19:54, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Wikiportal/Israel
Shalom Eran: Please contact User:Humus sapiens who wishes to start a Wikipedia:Wikiportal/Israel See his request below. Thanks IZAK 07:39, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
Hi IZAK (and everyone else here :), Do you think it's time to create Wikipedia:Wikiportal/Israel similar to Wikipedia:Wikiportal/India, Wikipedia:Wikiportal/New Zealand and other Category:Wikiportals? I'm writing this here because it was you who made those wonderful templates and we don't have a portal yet where we could communicate. What do you think? ←Humus sapiens←Talk 05:26, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
- Hi Humus, it's only me here, but I will pass your message on to "everyone". Yes, your suggestion is excellent, it is certainly time for what you describe, but I have no experience with Wikipedia portals, and if you know how, go ahead and start an Israel portal and I am sure editors of Israel-related articles will support you and join in the effort/s. Behatzlachah. IZAK 05:33, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Haham hanuka at Talk:Yigal Amir
Hello Eranb: Since you are familiar with the history and methods of User:Haham hanuka on the Hebrew Wikipedia, could you please take a look and add your opinion about his latest exploits with other users at Talk:Yigal Amir#Websites by Amir supporters and continuing on that page. Thank you. IZAK 12:06, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Liouville number
Why did you add a link to the article in the hebrew wikipedia that doesn't exist yet? Jobnikon 16:39, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- It probably existed when I added the link (9 months ago IIRC), and was deleted/merged by now. Eranb 19:01, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] IDF and Military of Israel
Hi Eran: Please take a look at the vote at Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2006 September 10#Category:Israel Defense Forces. Your expertise is required. Thanks a lot. IZAK 12:28, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your contact info
Hi Eran: You have not enabled your Wikipedia Email feature in your "tool box" on the left hand side of your user page. Sometimes editors overlook that when it's a useful way of staying in touch with other editors. Best wishes. Lehitraot, IZAK 14:40, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
