EQUIP
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
EQUIP is an international leadership development organization working to help leaders. It is involved with leaders from more than 80 nations. Its mission is “to see effective Christian leaders fulfill the Great Commission in every nation”
EQUIP was started in 1996 by author/leadership expert Dr. John C. Maxwell [1] when he recognized a worldwide deficit of effective leaders. EQUIP [2] provides leadership training to more than 1 million leaders worldwide. EQUIP’s headquarters is located in Duluth, Georgia, and the current president of the organization is John Hull[3].
EQUIP uses conferences, leadership curriculum, church partnerships, and technology to train and empower Christians worldwide with the skills needed to provide leadership to their communities, workplaces, and churches. An example of EQUIP initiatives is Million Leaders Mandate [4]. This takes leaders on a three-year leadership growth journey, aiming to see them individually developed, and also equipped to train 25 other leaders in his or her community.
