Eos Airlines is an airline based in New York, USA. It operates all-business class services with a higher level of comfort than the major transatlantic carriers' business class and at fares lower than the majors' published business class tariffs. Thus it has been referred to as "economy first class". Its main base is Terminal 4 in John F. Kennedy International Airport.

[edit] History
The airline was founded in 2004 by Dave Spurlock, a former director of strategy at British Airways. The company was initially named Atlantic Express (not to be confused with the UK regional carrier Atlantic Express) and changed its name to Eos in 2005.
Eos began operations between New York and London Stansted on October 18, 2005. David Pottruck, former CEO of Charles Schwab, chairs a board comprised of industry specialists and venture capitalists. Eos' Management also consists of leading management such as Gil Morgan (ex-World Airways, ValuJet and Delta Air Lines) and Eilif Serck-Hanssen (ex-US Airways and Northwest Airlines).

Average age of the aircraft is 12.1 years as of March 2006.
The aircraft flies a unique 48-seat all-business class configuration. It features suite-style seating which incorporates a fold-out table and (in a manner similar to the British Airways first class seats), allows passengers to sit face-to-face to hold business meetings or eat together. The Eos suite also folds out to a completely flat 78" bed in a spacious pod-like enclosure; each passenger is provided with about 21 square feet of space, as well as amenities such as cashmere wool blankets. The EOS suite gives each passenger more space than any other transatlantic carrier's business-class product.[1]
