Entrance of the Conflagration
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Entrance of the Conflagration is the third song released from metal band Trivium's third studio album, "The Crusade", which was released on October 10, 2006. The lyrics deal with Andrea Yates' murder of her five children in her home by drowning them in her bathtub one-by-one (Yates was found not guilty by reason of insanity). Yates' depression and suicide attempts are mentioned in the song. The line in the song "Robbed by the seventh deadly sin" refers to a statement made by Yates about the murders: "It was the seventh deadly sin. My children weren't righteous. They stumbled because I was evil. The way I was raising them they could never be saved. They were doomed to perish in the fires of hell." The song was posted on the band's MySpace on September 2, 2006.
