Enterprise is a city in Dickinson County, Kansas, United States. The population was 836 at the 2000 census.

Enterprise is located at 38°54′9″N, 97°7′5″W (38.902485, -97.118172)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.7 km² (0.7 mi²). 1.7 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and 1.49% is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 836 people, 299 households, and 218 families residing in the city. The population density was 496.6/km² (1,276.4/mi²). There were 334 housing units at an average density of 198.4/km² (509.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.77% White, 0.24% African American, 0.84% Native American, 0.12% Asian, and 2.03% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.84% of the population.

There were 299 households out of which 37.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.5% were married couples living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.8% were non-families. 23.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size was 3.11.

In the city the population was spread out with 27.6% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 23.9% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 19.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 82.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 80.6 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $36,613, and the median income for a family was $39,479. Males had a median income of $28,214 versus $20,357 for females. The per capita income for the city was $15,619. About 7.8% of families and 8.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 7.0% of those under age 18 and 11.3% of those age 65 or over.
