Englandman was created by James Crowther in 2002 during the World Cup.
The Anti-Hero Englandman, is a tongue in cheek representation of modern day football mania during an international competition such as the World Cup or European Football Championship.
In England, the media is whipped into a frenzy about England’s chances in the competitions and the Anti-Hero Englandman is the personification of this.
Dressed in white top to tail, with a St. Georges flag as a cape and a Robin style mask, EnglandMan can usually be found in a bar in West Yorkshire during an England match. And many Bookies now take bets on where he will be next spotted, as well as many football pundits talking about the legend on their TV shows.
However, despite being a total patriot of his beloved home country, he spends most of his time living in Lapland.

On St Georges day 2006 it was reported that Englandman had died.
Alegidly he was found on the toilet in the Elf and Reindeer, his local boozer, on what seams to be an overdose of Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Beans - the English breakfast.
During a press conference Father Christmas said “He was always a fan of the traditional English food, but I never realised he had a problem.”
