Talk:English football champions

The listing in bold of teams who owned the top scorer doesn't seem too relevant. Would anyone object if I changed it to putting teams who won The Double in bold instead? Oldelpaso 19:09, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
- The teams in bold are now double winners. Oldelpaso 20:46, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Most of the information in English football (Tier one) has been merged. I think it is now ready to turn it into a redirect. Some information has not been merged for the following reasons: Logos - repeated use of club logos does not qualify as fair use. Third place finishes are not included as I don't regard them as particularly notable in a list of winners, it is unlikely that a club would list a third place in their club honours. In any case, both this and the number of teams participating can be deduced from the appropriate Season in English football article, e.g. 1888-89 in English football. A similar rationale applies to the list of top three finishes by club. If there are no objections in a few days time I will turn English football (Tier one) into a redirect. [edit] Individual records
It might be an idea to include a list of individual records. One containing players who have won the most top tier English league titles and another with the all time top scorers in the top tier of English football. There is something similar to this on the Serie A page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.202.164.129 (talk • contribs) 14:16, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
