I used to train with the ECKA in the late 1980's and I'm just getting my interest back. What ever happened to Howard Brown? Most the ECKA websites don't mention him or just briefly.

[edit] Howard Brown founder?

I seem to remember Howard Brown was the founder of this style; I have my old training manual (but not to hand). Can anybody confirm this?

I think that he left and Dev Barrett became chief instructor. i joined 2000 and Dev was the chief instructor much before then so maybe he left just after you did. Who did you train with?

My instructor at the time was Logan Easy, Logan ran many clubs in the Telford area, he moved away (Southampton I believe).I also had a few seminars with Howard, very fast very controlled.

Yh i know Logan, he still trains with ECKA. How come all of the instructors have gone from wikipedia?

i think whoever got rid of the instructor list might think that it is a bit personal. i agree, they are not really worthy of an encyclopedia. (Neostinker 18:20, 5 July 2006 (UTC))

How is he ? , I've not spoken to him in years!

Not seen him in ages. I think he left ECKA and joined ISKA or made his own association. Come and train in Tipton under the name of Hopeton Harmitt if you want to get back into it.
