I personally think that school prayer should be allowed if students volunteer or they could even have an after school prayer meeting or Bible study or something for those who want to participate. I do agree that it does offend some. but I dont see why it should
- Students can pray in school, or meet after school to pray or study the Bible. As long as they don't disrupt the educational process, students can exercise their First Amendment rights in school without fear of reprisal, whether to pray or to protest. This case was not about the right of students to pray in school, but the school itself implicating prayer into their daily morning ritual and in it is named a specific deity that not all students may believe in. Such a prayer breeches the separation of church and state that has been long accepted by our nation.
