Engineers Without Borders - Portland Professional Chapter

Engineers Without Borders - Portland Professional Chapter (EWB Portland) was established in January, 2005, in Portland, Oregon. EWB Portland is a professional chapter of Engineers Without Borders - USA (EWB-USA)and is affiliated with the West Coast Region (EWB-WCR).

The purpose of the EWB Portland is to:

  1. Facilitate the completion of EWB-USA projects
  2. Support the involvement of students in all aspects of the project process
  3. Create opportunities for professionals to contribute to the EWB-USA mission

Engineers Without Borders was originally started in a coffee shop in Toronto, Canada. It was co-founded by two University of Waterloo graduates George Roter and Parker Mitchell.
