Category:Energy conservation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Energy conservation is the act of using energy in a more efficient and effective manner. While any form of energy may be conserved, electricity is the type most commonly referred to in connection with conservation.
Conserving electricity can involve many different activities, from replacing an inefficient appliance to turning off a light. Successful conservation involves both technological and behavioral measures.
Energy conservation is an important complement to the development of renewable energy sources. Both energy conservation and renewable energy are important aspects of sustainability.
