River Ems flows into view center right, passes the German city of Emden in the state of Lower Saxony (right bank, center right) and the Dutch Dollard bay (center right), and continues as a wide estuary towards the Dutch city of Delfzijl in the province of Groningen (center, left bank). Near the sea port area of Eemshaven ("Ems Port", left bank, center), it discharges into the Wadden Sea and continues as the Westereems and Osterems (West and East Ems) straits towards the German island of Borkum (top left).
