The Empire Family (MΠR) is a "Family" for an international men's college fraternity. Founded on October 13, 2006 at Delta Chi Fraternity, California State University, Long Beach by Fidel Junior Navarro, John Pascual, David Collins, Matt Palafox, Paul Maier, and Vince Marin. The Empire Family was the first of its kind to be founded at Delta Chi Fraternity, California State University, Long Beach. Among other things, The Empire Family promotes revelry, brotherhood, strong fraternal bonds, loyalty, and character by organizing social and academic events for its members. Today, The Empire Family is one of the newest and stongest Family Trees within this organization. The Empire Family is headquartered in Long Beach, California.

An empire is comprised of a set of regions locally ruled by governors, viceroys or client kings in the name of an emperor. By extension, an empire can also be defined as any large, multi-ethnic state ruled from a single center. Empires form when there is a lack of order within states. An empire’s intent is to bring together the best elements from within separate entities and form one single unit of tremendous power. The term empire is derived from the Latin word ‘imperium’, which means power. Through these ideas and principles came the birth of The Empire Family.

Founders Fidel Junior Navarro, John Pascual, David Collins, Matt Palafox, Paul Maier, and Vince Marin shared this image of an empire and banded themselves together to form The Empire Family. Some of the finest men from the JEDI Tree and the Lamda Kappa Tree have since joined this new venture to form the Empire Family. The Empire Family was founded on October 13, 2006 at California State University of Long Beach with the vision to form a stronger bond and brotherhood as well as bring significance and respect to the legacy of Family Trees within the Delta Chi Fraternity.
