Emperor Norton Records

Emperor Norton Records, a now defunkt Los Angeles-based electronica and dance music record label. Some of the artists in their catalog included Arling & Cameron, Money Mark, Takako Minekawa and The Fantastic Plastic Machine. Additionally, they released the soundtracks to such movies as Lost in Translation and The Virgin Suicides.

The company was named after Joshua A. Norton, a San Francisco citizen noted for proclaiming himself "Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico" in 1859.
