Emmegan is my name, and chances are we've met. Somewhere, somehow, in a past life, metaphysically, virtually, in reality, in your dreams or in your nightmares -- but chances are we've met.

[edit] The Virtual World of Emmegan

I am the same Emmegan who posts on Sheroescentral as well as FanFiction.Net. I'm also up at BalletAlert as Meggy. This is listed as my homepage on a few of these sites.

[edit] Dance

You cannot lie, to yourself or anyone else, when you dance. You're either doing it, or you're not. Hence dance is one of the highest arts, an art which melds storytelling with athleticism and aesthetic beauty and social commentary and technical virtuosity and an inability to falsify anything. That's why I dance -- because bodies in motion are the truest form of human expression.

I have written or contributed extensively (if I do say so myself!) to the following articles on dance:

[edit] My Wikiness

I am rather prickly when it comes to grammar, typos, organization and prettiness in general, and can often be seen flitting about Wikipedia correcting spelling and grammar on articles I otherwise know nothing about, and am extremely active in wikification as well as the Ballet Wikiproject and the Dance WikiProject. I hope my edits are valued and helpful!

[edit] The Mindless Details of Emmegan

I am currently ageless, although probably right now I'm in my teenage years. I am a viciously independent dancer and student living in the Northeast. I am overly fond of Icelandic rock (bands such as Sigur Rós and Amiina), the Dave Matthews Band, Beth Orton, Johnny Depp, Shakespeare, Hayao Miyazaki, Jon Stewart, my Norton Anthology of Western Literature, fantasy novels, Tamora Pierce, my English teacher, all manner of British humor (be it crudely hilarious, brilliantly transvestitish, or infuriatingly, wittishly subtle humor; I really don't discriminate, so long as it's British), women on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and all matter of dance.
