Emjay , Emjay = MJ = her name, Marie-Josée Riel, is a dance music artist of French-Canadian origin. She originates from Rockland, which is just outside of Ottawa, Ontario and had a series of dance hits throughout the 1990s. Her style of dance music was "eurodance" with high-energy techno beat and passionate female vocals. Her music was rather well-known to Canadian dance music fans of cities like Toronto and Montreal.

In the late 90s, while on a Canadian tour with the Backstreet Boys it was rumoured she and Howie Dorough began a relationship that ended after the tour.

In Your Arms was Emjays biggest hit and was nominated or a Juno Award in 1997 but ended up loosing the award to BKS.
