Emir Spahić

Emir Spahić (born August 18, 1980 in Dubrovnik, Croatia) is a Bosnian football defender.

Currently, Emir Spahić plays for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team. Emir scored his first international goal in a 2-2 tie with Japan on February 28, 2006 at the Signal Iduna Park stadium in Dortmund, Germany. On the club level, Spahić is active for the Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow in the Russian Premier League. Over the course of his career, he has also played for Russian clubs Torpedo Moscow and Shinnik Yaroslavl as well as Croatian side NK Zagreb.

Emir has a younger brother, Alen Spahic, who is also a football player.
