Emily Erwin

Emily Erwin Robison (born Emily Erwin, August 16, 1972) is an American country songwriter, recording artist and musician, born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, raised in Texas and currently residing on a ranch near Bandera, Texas northwest of San Antonio. Emily and her sister, Martie Erwin, are founding members of the Dixie Chicks.
The Dixie Chicks have been performing since 1989, shortly after Emily and Martie started busking on the streets of Dallas, Texas.[1] Emily plays banjo, dobro, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, papoose, accordion, sitar and sings background vocals in the group.
Emily is married to country singer Charlie Robison. They have three children, Charles Augustus, also known as "Gus", born November 11, 2002; and twins Julianna Tex and Henry Benjamin, born April 14, 2005.
