[edit] Career

Since signing with her first agent at the age of thirteen, Emily Barclay has performed in a wide variety of film and television roles. However, it wasn't until Diana Rowan (the same casting agent who discovered Anna Paquin and Keisha Castle-Hughes) cast her as Celia in 2004's In My Father's Den that she rose to prominence. After winning Most Promising Newcomer at the 2005 British Independent Film Awards for her performance in In My Father's Den, she followed with a role in the critically-acclaimed 2006 black comedy Suburban Mayhem. Barclay is currently in the UK working on the upcoming feature Brontë.
