Emilija Kokić was once the lead singer of the Croatian pop band Riva, who won the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 for what was then Yugoslavia, with the song Rock Me.

Today Emilija is a successful solo artist in her home country Croatia. She has lately tried to win the national Dora festival, which would give her the ticket to represent her country in Eurovision on her own, but so far hasn't succeeded with the task.
