Embryonic stem cells → Embryonic stem cell … Rationale: According to Wikipedia:Naming_conventions#Prefer_singular_nouns. SOME_article_titles_should_be_plural raises some valid points, but in that case Cell (biology) and so on should be plural too... Furthermore, all other stem cell articles are singular. ES cells are pluripotent, not totipotent
Embryonic stem (ES) cells are pluripotent, not totipotent. Totipotency implies an ability to contribute to all extraembryonic (placental) tissues, in addition to all three embryonic germ layers.
