Embassy (TV series)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Embassy was an Australian television series screened on the ABC between 1990 and 1992. There were three series produced with a total of 39 episodes. The series was set in the Australian embassy of a fictional south-east Asian country called Ragaan, located somewhere between Thailand and Malaysia. It features stories about the Australian ambassador and his staff. Embassy caused some controversy with the Malaysian government who thought that the fictitious country was a thinly disguised version of their country. The series was actually filmed in Fiji.
