I just had to write. I lived in Elysian Park up in top in a very small house. I was born in Los Angeles and lived in the park for 3 years, of course my mother and father lived there much longer. It breaks my heart when I hear that it is near the ghetto, even though it is. On occassion I will take my mom up there and we will reminise. My mother lived there with 12 kids in a very small two bedroom. Now when I go and visit it looks very dangerous because of the steep steps. But on the other hand I also felt as if the park was our family's backyard, now who else can say that. My family moved to the Bay Area and I have been here ever since. I always tell myself that if I hit it rich I will for sure buy that tiny little home up in Elysian Park, part of my heart is there.
