Elvenscout742 has been around since the Dawn of Time, but has only been editting Wikipedia since around November 2004.

One of his main interests is mythology, and he is a bit of a Japanophile, so he mostly edits articles relating to those topics, but he'll turn up almost anywhere ;).

He can be contacted at elvenscout742@yahoo.co.uk, though he has no time to deal with mere mortals!

One specific thing he would like to accomplish while editting here is to add to Wikipedia the sum total of all human knowledge of kwaidan. Articles to which he has contributed to some real extent in that field are the page on kwaidan themselves, as well as Okiku, Lafcadio Hearn and Kwaidan: Stories and Studies of Strange Things.

He also has a great interest in films, particularly those of East Asia (including Japan, Korea, the PRC, Hong Kong and the ROC).

He feels that one can tell a lot about a person from the kind of movies they like and people they admire or despise. Therefore, situated below are lists of his heroes, enemies and favourite films. As he has not the time to deal with lowly mortals, so too does he lack the time to put these lists together in any particular order. If his reasons for loving (or hating) them are not clear to you lowly mortals, feel free to ask him on his Talk page or to e-mail him.

In his disturbing past, he editted Wikipedia as 213.94.233.111, and is deeply regretful of some of the atrocious actions of this IP. He also made the first six edits to Wikipedia through his school's computer network (see Special:Contributions/83.70.174.224), though he is greatly troubled by some of the further edits by that IP - mostly vandalism to this very page by his spiteful classmates or to other pages, clearly in mockery of him. One such classmate even had the effrontery to register as User:Rudigur.

In terms of religion, he considers himself to be many things: an Ásatrúar, a Hindu, a Buddhist, a Taoist, a Confucianist, etc... and he does not view any of these philosophies as being mutually exclusive.
