According to imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093693/locations , the movie was shot in California. Do you have a source for the Astoria locations? Katr67 17:06, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

I looked but couldn't find a reference. The movie was on one of the cable networks last week and I watched part of it. Having sailed under the Astoria bridge several times lately, I'm pretty darned sure the bridge was in the background, but could well have been B-roll or background with actors composited into the foreground.

I'm guessing the lack of references is why you dropped the statement apparently set near Astoria? — EncMstr 03:32, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Oh, that. That's because I copied the the bit about the place up Mount Hood so I could paste it in the new article, and reverted--I didn't notice you'd added it, sorry. But yeah, I think the whole Astoria angle is probably original research, especially the speculation about hypothermia (perhaps they used wetsuits, you never know), and should probably come out. I won't fight you over it though--at least you haven't created a work of complete fiction as was here previously. :) Katr67 07:43, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
