Talk:Elizabeth Haldane
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A web search does suggest notability. Eg http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-9038853 But we need to capture that here. Regards, Ben Aveling 16:20, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- This hasn't been provided, and yet Duncharris (talk • contribs) continues to remove the notability tag. --Ragib 19:14, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

- Add the notability into the article then, don't post dubious links. Never heard of her, support deletion based on what is included on this WP page.Michael Dorosh 19:51, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

- What do you mean by "dubious links"? EB isn't exactly "dubious". Guettarda 20:26, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

- I don't have time to chase down everything she did (which if memory serves was actually quite a lot) but I've added on detail that by itself should establish notability. JoshuaZ 20:38, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, and unfortunately your one-sentence addition contained an extraneous word and lacked capitalization. ;-) Michael Dorosh 20:40, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

- I rather thought the point of writing Wikipedia articles was to actually write something worthy of being called an article. One sentence and a link to any website, EB or not, is called a waste of everyone's time. If anyone really cares about this subject, they'll take the time to write a good article.Michael Dorosh 20:40, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Regarding "bad-faithness" of my nomination, I added the afd based on this version of the article. WP:V clearly states that
- The burden of evidence lies with the editors who have made an edit or wish an edit to remain. Editors should therefore provide references.
I added a tag requesting proof of notability of the subject close to 3 weeks ago, and wasn't provided any. Thanks. --Ragib 20:46, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
It seems clear from the web that she is notable, but it's hard to tell that from this article. Were this still on AFD I would probably vote "delete without prejudice against recreation". Regards, Ben Aveling 10:06, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Would someone add something more to this article? Otherwise, it can easily be merged with Haldane family --Ragib 20:50, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
