Elizabeth Douglas-Home, Baroness Home of the Hirsel

Elizabeth Hester Alington, Baroness Home of the Hirsel and formerly Countess of Home (1909-1990) was an English academic.
She was the wife of the British Prime Minister Alec Douglas-Home and the daughter of Cyril Alington, a headmaster at Eton. She was once engaged to the cricket commentator, Brian Johnston and she was the first woman to be elected as a fellow of Eton.
