Elizabeth Anionwu

Professor Elizabeth Anionwu RN PhD CBE FRCN is a nurse and Head of the Mary Seacole Centre for Nursing Practice (Faculty of Health and Human Sciences at Thames Valley University) and Honorary Professor of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is also Vice-Chairperson of the Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal.[1]

Her involvement with Mary Seacole, who became a heroine of the Crimean War, relates to the multi-ethnic aspects of nursing and midwifery education, and the practice issues of sickle cell and thalassaemia.

She is a fellow of the Royal College of Nursing.
