In 1944 she applied with the camp offices in Dortmund, and they sent her to Ravensbruck to undergo overseer training. Soon after the well seasoned wardress went to Buchenwald to continue her cruelty towards the camps women. Eventually Elisabeth served in the Buchenwald subcamp in Dortmund, her home town.
