Elijah Gair

Elijah Gair is a politician in Manitoba, Canada. In the federal election of 2004, he ran as a candidate of the Green Party in the east Winnipeg riding of Elmwood—Transcona.
Gair's campaign focused on the need to find alternatives to forest products and petroleum for energy resources. According to his campaign literature, he supports the model of a society based on community and family, rather than on competition. He was a security official at the time of the election.
Gair received 719 votes, against 15,221 for the winner, veteran New Democratic Party MP Bill Blaikie.
