Talk:Elfen Lied body count

[edit] Why do we have this article?

Could someone give me any justification for including this indiscriminant collection of non-notable information? Or a reason I shouldn't AfD it? --tjstrf 03:06, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Certainly, I moved this out of the Elfen Lied article because I thought it was useless and didn't feel like having a revert battle with someone. Sorry bout the laziness. - Phorque 11:26, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
You mean this used to be in the main article? *shudders* The things some people try including... --tjstrf 18:48, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Well sombody obviously worked pretty hard to create this list, and it's kind of interesting. I don't see any reason to delete it since its no longer included in the main article, might as well stay.
That's kinda what I thought, but Wikipedia does have policies on fancruft. Perhaps it would be better to preserve this article by moving it to the "Manga Wiki" page linked to at the bottom of the article? They may appreciate it more than Wikipedia. - Phorque 10:22, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

This page goes beyond "fancruft", which is often used to describe things that the speaker finds personally disinteresting, to just plain trivial. If you think it should stay, you could always remove the prod tag, but I'll list it on AfD immediately, which it definitely won't survive. (They hate lists.) --tjstrf 15:33, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Now I have nothing to do with this article but I did find it interesting. If this is an accurate account of the Elfen Lied body count perhaps it should stay. --FactvsFiction 03:11, 22 September 2006 (UTC)FactvsFiction

I just ran across this page from visiting the main Elfen Lied page and I think it's fascinating. It should be kept as an indication of the violence in this anime to someone (myself included) who is deciding whether or not to take the time to watch it. Wikipedia is a resource, or at least I thought it was supposed to be, for info seekers. What does it matter if not everyone finds the information useful? If at least some people find it interesting or useful why shouldn't it stay? Musicmaniac32 05:11, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

And Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information - it is an encyclopedia. Encyclopedias are subsets of the set of information some people find interesting or useful, and nothing else. -- Gwern (contribs) 05:34, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
The article has been deleted; no more discussion is necessary. -- (十八|talk) 05:38, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
