Elekible (エレキブル Erekiburu?) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. Erekiburu is famous for being one of the Pokémon revealed before the Japanese release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Elekible in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
Its Japanese name may be a portmanteau of the English words electricity (エレキテル erekiteru?) and cable (ケーブル keiburu?). The "buru" at the end of its name might be from the English word "bull", since Electabuzz are said to get angry when they see the color red.

[edit] Appearance
Elekible's back has a symbol that looks like an outlet, similar to how a previous form of it, Elekid, resembled a plug. It has red eyes and also seems to resemble the yeti. The small red parts on the end of its 'spines' resemble red LEDs. When it uses the Iron Tail attack, the cables on its back combine to become a tail to use the attack.
[edit] In the video games
Elekible learns Giga Attack, which is a physical version of the now special Hyper Beam, and Thunder Punch. It also knows another new attack called Charge Beam, which has a 70% chance of raising the user's Special Attack. According to an anime image, it can learn Iron Tail. Since it evolves from Electabuzz, it can learn anything Electabuzz or Elekid can learn - and more, such as Flamethrower and Earthquake, making it the first Electric type to learn these moves. Elekible's ability, Electric Engine, not only prevents it from taking damage from an electric-type attack, but also raises its speed when struck by an electric-type attack.
Although Elekible debuted in this game, Elekid and Electabuzz are only obtainable in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl when these two conditions are met:
1. Obtain the National Dex. This is done when you beat the Elite 4.
2. Have a Pokémon FireRed cartridge plugged into the Nintendo DS.
It can also be available on Wi-Fi if trading with a trainer willing to trade it for something different.
Electabuzz evolves into Elekible when it has been traded while holding a new item called the Electro Booster. This item is sometimes found attached to wild Elekid. Electable has a base stat of 540 making it a very powerful pokemon
[edit] In the anime
The Elekible was first seen on the final episode of Pokemon: Advanced Generation where it was owned by none other than Gary Oak. He had a battle with Ash Ketchum and used his Elekible to defeat Ash's Pikachu in a one-on-one battle.
