- Elco (company) was a boat manufacturer which constructed among others the USS Virginia, and PT Boats in World War Two. The name is a contraction of Electric Launch Corp. It closed in 1948.
- Elco is also the contraction of Electric Boat Corporation which builds submarines, and is now a part of General Dynamics.
- Peter C. Elco is the current mayor of the city of Absecon, New Jersey.
