Elchesheim-Illingen is a village in Southwestern Germany, located between Karlsruhe and Rastatt. The next river is the famous Rhine and is 5 km in the east of the village.

Nearly the village ist the river Rhine, also there are "Rheinauen", the old way the river was going. In this area are many forests, also there is the Goldkanal (goldcanal), an old lake where gold was found.
