This is sarcasm!!!
The following essay is sarcasm. Do you get what that means? I don't want comments on it's uncivility. I don't need it to go to MfD to make your WP:POINT. It's meant in humor. If you don't like it, there are literally million other fucking things for you to do.

WTF stands for "What the fuck?" and is a measure of common sense, notability, and encyclopedic content rolled into one neat package.

Contents

[edit] Components of WTF

  • A quick application of common sense:
  1. Would you expect to find this in a paper encyclopedia?
  2. Would you expect to find this in a mainstream newspaper or magazine, or on TV?
  3. Is anyone who is not a direct participant interested in this?

If the answer to all three questions is no, your article will probably need a lot of sourcing.

  • A quick application of practicality:
  1. Are there any independant sources?
  2. Does it pass any policies?
  3. Is it unlikely to cause controversy?
  4. Is it written in NPOV?

If the answer to all of the questions above is no, your article will be destroyed.

[edit] When to apply WTF

WTF should not be applied to every article, or even most articles. It should only be applied when the first thought that goes through your head after reading the introduction is "What the fuck?"

Hence the name.

WTF is similar to the laugh test. If an article fails this criteria, it usually has such problems that the only people who can defend it are those who are completely biased and thus, ineligible to decide.
