El Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company

The El Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company is an Egyptian company founded in 1960 operating in Helwan, Egypt. In 1979 the company offered licensed versions of the Fiat 128 and 125 followed in 1991 by a further range of Fiat designed cars licenced via the Turkish company (Tofaş). In the early 2000s they started assembling the Florida/Sana range from Serbian manufacturer Zastava.

El Nasr joins other manufacturers such as AAV, the Ghabbour Group and WAMCO - the Watania Automotive Manufacturing Company - in producing vehicles in Egypt.

[edit] MCV Egypt (Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles)

MCV was established in 1994 to represent Mercedes Benz in the commercial vehicle sector in Egypt producing a range of buses and trucks.

The manufacturing plant at Salheya employs over 1000 people. MCV exports buses to the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe.
