El Coca

El Coca (also known as Puerto Francisco de Orellana) is a city located in eastern Ecuador. It is the capital of Orellana. The city is located in the Amazon Rainforest.
The city is located in the confluence of the Coca River and the Napo River. It has a population of 18,171 inhabitants. El Coca is visited by tourists going into the Amazonian forest. For this purpose, it has an airport.
The official name of the city, Puerto Francisco de Orellana, is taken from Francisco de Orellana, who explored the confluence of the Coca River and the Napo River.
