El Centro de Oro

El Centro de Oro (Center of Gold) is a vibrant Latino area in the east side of North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
El Centro de Oro is located in "5th & Lehigh" district of the city. Cultural rhythms, businesses and restaurants abound here. El Centro de Oro is home to many family-owned businesses, cultural centers and organizations including: Taller Puertorriqueno (Puerto Rican workshop), a community based cultural education organization dedicated to preserving, developing and promoting Puerto Rican artistic and cultural traditions, while supporting a better understanding of other Latin American cultures and the common Latino heritage; and Asociacion de Musicos Latinos Americanos (AMLA), a non-profit multicultural, regional arts organization dedicated to promoting the development and dissemination of all forms of Latin Music.
