Eksigent Technologies

Eksigent Technologies is a manufacturer of microfluidic devices and analytical instrumentation. It was founded in May 2000.

The key technologies of the company are microscale flow generation and control, microfabricated system integration.

The key products include micro and nano scale liquid chromatography systems (u-LC and n-LC) and electrokinetic pumping (the EKPump) for medical device applications.

The Eksigent LC pumps are also sold by Applied Biosystems under the brand name of Tempo (since January 2006).

In April 2006 a new CEO, David Weber, former President of the Americas at Amersham Biosciences (2001-2004), was appointed.
