[edit] Eklavyaa
Eklavyaa was the greatest archer of Mahabharata epic. Nor Arjuna nor Karna or not any one else can compete with him his mastery of archery became more valuable and greatest when history or epic says he dint learn from anyone directly. He was the son of Nishad raj and wanted to became an archer but Dronacharya refuse to teach him because he was not belong to royal family nor he was belong to high Varna (cast) but he dint give up and start practice by his own. He made a statue of Dronacharya and in front of him he practice archery genuinely. Because he has deep interest and will power he reaches mastery. Once when he was practising his archery a dog come to him and start barking so his concentration getting disturbed so he hit some arrows towards the dog in such manner dog dint get hurt but only unable to bark.. That dog was belong to pandawas so when Dronacharya and pandawas saw what happen to him and how greatly someone hit arrows they were very much surprised Dronacharya thought even for him its difficult to do such great job. He find out Eklavyaa and ask him who his teacher was, Eklavyaa replied he learnt from his statue so Dronacharya couldn’t believe it and thought this boy learnt without any teacher if continues his practice he will be surly surpass Arjuna and its not horrible. He also afraid he will loose his promise to make Arjuna a greatest Archer. So he cleverly ask to Eklavayaa that if he considered him as Guru then he must have to give him guru dakshina Eklavyaa agreed to do so then he ask him his right hand thumb and Eklavyaa cut his thum and give it to him and that’s why he was unable to pull arrow without thumb. Eklavyaa proves he is far better archer than Arjuna and Dronacharya not even better archer but a great person world always remembers people like Eklavyaa and always ashamed people like Dronacharya My homage to him hence this username
