Ekbatan

Ekbatan Town (Persian: شهرک اکباتان) is a part of Tehran, Iran.It is the biggest residential complex in Tehran. It is the location of one of the Tehran Monorail stations.
The Construction of the Ekbatan complex started in 1975 for the purpose of mass housing. It has 15,500 units on an area of 2,208,570 m2 located in western Tehran. It was actually designed and built by the German and Italian engineers and it is called "Shahrake Ekbatan".
