The new image policy does not allow this type of license. You could try to make a fair use argument, perhaps. Rmhermen 13:38, Jun 22, 2005 (UTC)

Well anyone can use that photo if they want as long as they keep the info on it. I took the pics and uploaded them myself.

[edit] Shamisen photo

Hi, thanks for adding the photo of the shamisen player to the shamisen article. Can you please add some text to the article about this player so that readers will know who she is? Badagnani 18:23, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] British arctic territory

I have moved British arctic territory to User:Ejrs/British arctic territory because it is written in a totally unencyclopedic style - "I" all over it. Now if this is a well established hoax in the real world, then it may qualify for a Wikipedia article but please write it in proper Wikipedia style. You have been around long enough - you should know what that is. -- RHaworth 04:16, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Spider01250.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Spider01250.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. feydey 16:52, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

I am the photographer of the image and uploaded it myself. All are welcome to use it commercially/noncommercially with due credit to EJRS.COM ejrs

Please add the source page of the image to image summary, so I can help on proper licence. feydey 11:32, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

Click here] and paste the source link and save. Questions? feydey 15:56, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Hanky1.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Hanky1.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:20, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I am the Photographer. All are free to use the image as long as the pic is unedited.

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Hanky1.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Hanky1.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Indon (reply) — 09:37, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Greetings, Thanks for your concerns. Please allow me to clear up the matter. I took the pics myself. Anyone is free to use them as long as they credit me by adding a link back to http://malaysiawebsite.com Please note I am well aware of Copyrighting as I have copyrighted most of my projects with the patent and copyrights office. If You notice I have uploaded anything, I am the owner or I have full rights to publish images, articles etc. Have a great day.

Could you please be more specific for the link of the image source? Your link does not point to the image being questioned. — Indon (reply) — 10:11, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] How to link an image to the source

Hi, I saw that you have problems with linking the image, that you've uploaded, to its source. This is mostly the problem of notices you received after you have uploaded them. When you have uploaded them, in the summary section of the image page, you can create a link like this:

Source: [http://www.anysite.url/image_source.jpg]

The above is only an example. The most important thing is to link directly to the page that shows the image. Do not only link to the mainpage, as you did with EJRS.com. — Indon (reply) — 10:17, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

EJRS 20:56, 21 November 2006 (UTC)I am sorry I am in the dark about what you are saying. Can you please rephrase that?

[edit] Spam / Duplicate Links

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. [edit] External linking

Hi. There's been some concern about links you've added and about other links to sites associated with your business. Can you please take a look at this talk page and join in the discussion there? Thanks, --A. B. 16:52, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi -- I got your e-mail -- you may want to take a look at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Spam#“powered by EJRS.com” and join in the discussion. --A. B. 20:23, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

I don't know what good it'll do me to join the discussion when you've already made up your mind about me.
